FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Pneumatic tire includes: annular section 1 of tread, pair of sections (2) of sidewall and pair of bead sections (3). Tread JIS hardness, from which tread section (1) is formed, is in range of 40–60, adhesion index on snow is equal to 180 or higher. In central zone of tread section (1) there is rib (20) located between pair of longitudinal grooves (11) and continuously passing in direction along tire circumference. In rib (20) there formed are multiple closed grooves (21), in which the first end is closed inside rib (20), and the second end is open to one of longitudinal grooves (11). Closed grooves (21) are inclined relative to axial direction of tire so that their closed ends face the side in direction of movement. Wall (21A) of groove of closed groove (21) on side in direction of movement extends outward in axial direction of tire further than wall (21B) of groove on side opposite direction of movement, and difference between angle (θ1) groove walls (21A) of closed grooves (21) on the side in direction of movement relative to tire axial direction and angle (θ2) walls (21B) of the groove on the side opposite to the direction of movement relative to the axial direction of the tire is in range 0°≤θ1-θ2≤5°.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics when driving on snow.
