FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: rechargeable hand-held electrically controlled smoking device comprises: rechargeable power supply; a first charging contact connected to the rechargeable power supply by the voltage-controlled switch (MOSFET); wherein the MOSFET has a source lead, a drain output and a gate output; an operational amplifier with a non-inverting input of the operational amplifier, connected to the source terminal, an inverting input of the operational amplifier, connected to the drain output, and an output connected to the output of the gate; and a second charging contact connected to the rechargeable power supply. Switch (MOSFET), controlled by voltage, is configured to prevent current flow between first electrical contact and rechargeable power supply through switch, if the potential difference between the first charging contact and the rechargeable power supply is less than the first threshold voltage, wherein the device is configured to amplify the potential difference between the source terminal and the drain output and its supply to the gate output, wherein closed loop feedback signal is transmitted to inverting input of operational amplifier and wherein biasing resistor is connected between inverting input of operational amplifier and electric grounding to ensure that the MOSFET is closed, if the voltage at the source output is equal to the voltage at the drain outlet.
EFFECT: technical result is providing low-power, small and cheap short-circuit protection means for rechargeable devices, which is suitable for any chemical compositions of battery.
