FIELD: electrical engineering; aerosol-generating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to aerosol delivery devices such as smoking articles, and more particularly to aerosol delivery devices that can use electrically generated heat to produce an aerosol. The aerosol delivery device includes terminals configured to connect a power source to the aerosol delivery device, and a heating element configured to convert electricity into heat and thereby evaporate components of the aerosol precursor composition. The aerosol delivery device also includes a step-up converter configured to step up the voltage from the power source to a higher voltage, and an inverter configured to convert the higher voltage to an additional negative voltage. The aerosol delivery device further includes at least one non-inverting amplifier circuit that includes an operational amplifier configured to receive a voltage from a power supply as an input voltage and to receive a higher voltage and an additional negative voltage as supply voltages. At least one non-inverting amplifier circuit is configured to amplify an input voltage to an output voltage and provide a continuous output current.
EFFECT: generation of positive and negative voltage to power the operational amplifier to provide a higher continuous current to power the heating element.
