SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing a light-absorbing material with a perovskite-like structure and can be used to form a light-absorbing layer in the production of photoelectric converters, ensuring material savings and increasing the allowable size of converters. method of producing a film of light-absorbing material with a perovskite-like structure involves forming of a uniform layer of component B on the substrate in the form of a film of elemental lead Pb2+, or tin Sn2+, or their mixture, preparation of a mixture of reagents AX and X2, which react with the component B under predetermined conditions, and a reaction inhibitor that suppresses this reaction under the conditions mentioned. Then, the prepared mixture is applied in the amount of stoichiometric or greater than stoichiometric on the layer of the component B and the reaction inhibitor is removed from the mixture with activation of a chemical reaction between the mixture of the mentioned reagents and component B to form a film of a perovskite-like material. CH3NH3+, or (NH2)2CH+, or C(NH2)3+, or Cs+, or Rb+, or their mixture is used as the component A of the mentioned reagent, and Cl- or Br-, or I-, or their mixture is used as the component X.
EFFECT: it is possible to form a perovskite layer with given microstructure and functional properties on surfaces of any size.
