FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for protecting reservoirs of oil and petroleum products from incomplete spark discharges arising in electric fields of thunderclouds and lightning discharges. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that when implementing the method of protecting reservoirs for oil and oil products from incomplete spark discharges, the height and diameter of the tank is initially determined, along with the height of the technological equipment to be protected, located on the tank roof, the distance from the central vertical axis of the tank to the center of mass of the technological equipment projection for all the protected technological equipment, the height of which is more than 0.2 m, then the outer radius of the main toroidal screen of the receiving unit is determined for the entire process equipment, the height of which is more than 0.2 m, and the inner radius of the main toroidal screen of the sensing unit is determined for all process equipment, whose height is more than 0.2 m, the height of the installation of the main toroidal screen for all technological equipment is determined, the height of which is more than 0.2 m, and the sensing nodes with the main toroidal screens is installed, fulfilling the condition of placing inside the screens of all parts of the protected process equipment. Need to install additional toroidal screens is determined to protect the internal zone of the protected process equipment, the height of which is more than 0.2 m, from the condition that if the outer radius of the toroidal screen exceeds the inner radius of the toroidal screen by 12.5 or more times, then an additional toroidal screen is necessary. Height of installation of the main toroidal screen over the protected technological equipment for all technological equipment, whose height is more than 0.2 m, is equal to or greater than the internal radius of the toroidal screen. Device for protection of tanks for oil and oil products from incomplete spark discharges consists of a receptive assembly mounted on fasteners, while the sensing assembly is designed as a continuous toroidal screen. All mounting and protruding elements of the sensing unit are located on the lower surface of the toroidal screen.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to improve the reliability of protection of tanks for oil and oil products from incomplete spark discharges arising in electric fields of thunderstorm clouds and lightning discharges.
