FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of additive polymers. Additive poly(3-tri(n-alkoxy)silyltricyclo[4.2.1.02.5]non-7-ene) of general formula (I), where R=CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, n-C10H21, polymerisation degree n=1,600–6,000, weight-average molecular weight Mw 7.0⋅105÷1.9⋅106 g/mol and polydispersity index Mw/Mn=3.8÷5.9. Disclosed also is a method of producing the declared additive poly(3-tri(n-alkoxy)silyltricyclo[4.2.1.02.5]non-7-ene) and a method of separating gaseous hydrocarbons using said hydrocarbons.

EFFECT: disclosed compounds have high molecular weight and improved film-forming characteristics, can be obtained with high output in a simpler method compared to known methods, and use of membranes from the disclosed polymer increases selectivity of separation of gaseous hydrocarbons.
