FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for strengthening treatment of self-balancing unicycle blades from titanium alloys. Method includes polishing, ion cleaning and ion-implantation treatment of blades. Ion-implantation treatment of the surface layer is carried out with nitrogen ions at energy from 18 to 30 keV, with dose of 1.6⋅1017 ion/cm2 up to 2.3⋅1017 ion/cm2. In process of treatment, self-balancing unicycle is rotated simultaneously relative to its centre in plane perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, and relative to axis formed by intersection of plane passing through axis of flow of implanted ions and centre of self-balancing unicycle, with rotation speed providing treatment of entire working surface of self-balancing unicycle blades, wherein the flow of implanted ions is directed to the treated self-balancing unicycle only on one of its sides.
EFFECT: invention can be used in aircraft engine building and power turbine building.
