FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method in an access point (AP) for broadcasting a radio beacon signal in a high-frequency radio communication network, and a method in a communication device for extracting a beacon signal in a high-frequency radio communication network. Method implemented in AP comprises: connection to AP clusters in high-frequency radio communication network, wherein cluster AP contains two or more AP; and broadcasting the same beacon signal jointly with other APs in the AP cluster in a synchronous manner, wherein the same beacon signal transmitted by radio broadcasting comprises an AP cluster identifier. At that, each AP in AP cluster has multiple beams directed in different directions, and wherein the broadcasting step comprises broadcasting the same beacon signal jointly with other APs in a synchronous manner on their beams having the same beam identifier, wherein the same radio beacon signal transmitted by radio broadcasting further comprises a beam identifier.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing radio beacon signal broadcasting coverage.
