FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering, in particular to design of power, damping and sealing elastomer elements of transport, oil and gas equipment, general machine building. Method of making elastomer elements of machines is as follows. Elastomer element is collected and vulcanized according to known technology, for example, by manual assembly with subsequent vulcanization in autoclave, thereafter, it is mounted in tooling, the structure of which provides heating of parts deformed during operation of elastomer element. Parts deformed during operation are in free state – not deformed. Then, subjected to accelerated thermal aging, only parts of elastomer element deformed during operation to preset temperature and held for a given time, wherein temperature and time are set based on maximum stability of properties of the elastomer element during its operation.

EFFECT: method allows improving reliability of elastomer elements of machines, improving universality – using elastomer element of any configuration at reduction of labor intensity of manufacturing.
