FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a copolymer of isobutyl monomer and isoprene monomer. Copolymer is obtained by bringing isobutene with isoprene in contact in the presence of at least one Lewis acid and at least one initiator at temperature less than or equal to -75 °C in diluent. Diluent contains 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene (HFO-1234ze), 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene (HFO-1234yf) or mixtures thereof. Copolymer has an isoprenoid content lower than the content of isoprenoid in the comparable polymer obtained in the slurry process for producing butyl rubber using 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane as a diluent. Copolymer is characterized by low levels of isoprenoid (with short-chain branching) structures.
EFFECT: copolymer with low isoprenoid content is proposed.
