SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technologies and is intended for extended transmission of a physical random access channel. Invention discloses terminal, which includes: a level determination unit configured to determine extended transmission information of the random access physical channel PRACH; a parameter determination unit configured to determine a first characteristic parameter which relates to PRACH extended transmission and which is associated with PRACH extended transmission layer information, which is determined by the level determining unit, wherein the first characteristic parameter includes at least one of transmitted power, preamble format and time-frequency resource; and a sending unit configured to perform extended PRACH transmission according to the first characteristic parameter determined by the parameter determination unit. In the above hardware solution, the first characteristic parameter is associated with level information, and the characteristic parameter used for the extended PRACH sending can be quickly and accurately determined, which reduces the terminal power.

EFFECT: method for extended transmission of a physical channel random access, a network device and a terminal are proposed.
