FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for catalytic synthesis of 2,3-dialkylquinolines by reacting aniline with aldehydes, characterized in that the catalyst used is amorphous mesoporous aluminosilicate ASM in amount of 5–20 wt% with respect to the initial mixture of reagents, reaction is carried out in molar ratio of aniline:aldehyde = 1:1–2 in autoclave at 120–180 °C for 6 hours in a solution of chlorobenzene.
EFFECT: method simplifies synthesis of quinoline derivatives and reduces energy and material consumption of the heterocyclisation process.
