FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method for catalytic synthesis of 2,3-dialkylquinolines by reacting aniline with aldehydes. Method is characterized by that catalyst used is amorphous mesoporous aluminosilicate ASM in amount of 5–20 wt% with respect to initial mixture of reagents, reaction is carried out in molar ratio of aniline:aldehyde = 1:1–2, in autoclave at 120–180 °C, for 6 hours, in dimethylformamide solution.
EFFECT: method enables simplifying the synthesis of quinoline derivatives and reducing the energy and material consumption of the heterocyclisation process.
