FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rotary melting furnace for processing non-ferrous metal wastes, particularly aluminum scrap. Furnace comprises cylindrical housing with front and rear end walls, its rotation drive, burner device, two loading holes with covers, two tapes for drainage of molten metal and a pellet for slag drainage, has a heat-insulating layer consisting of three layers of mullite-silica felts and a layer of chamotte lightweight, on which there is a layer of lining from corundum ramming mass with crushed skull, loading holes are located in front and rear end walls of furnace, burner device is made in the form of two gas injection cylindrical burners fixed in covers closing loading openings. Each gas injection cylindrical burner has four mixers with nozzles and five mixers without nozzles. Gas flue is made in every cover closing loading opening. Three tapholes are made in quick-replaceable flight conic bushings out of corundum ramming mass for possibility of their replacement without furnace shutdown. Furnace is configured to operate on natural and artificial draft with a dust-gas cleaning system to achieve an environmentally friendly process comprising two umbrellas, a system of gas ducts with supports, a mixing chamber, a smoke exhauster, a four-section dust-gas cleaning unit. Charge is loaded into the furnace by means of two vibration-loading machines.
EFFECT: low heat losses, increased efficiency and longer service life of the furnace.
