METHOD FOR STUDYING THE CILIARY MUSCLE IN CHILDREN WITH ANISOMETROPIA AND AMBLYOPIA USING OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B3/09 A61B3/117

Abstract RU 2788865 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmology, and can be used to study the ciliary muscle in children with anisometropia and amblyopia. An examination of the anterior segment of the eye is carried out using optical coherence tomography and scanning of the temporal part of the ciliary muscle. In this case, a contact lens with an optical power corresponding to the maximum visual acuity is preliminarily installed. Scanning is carried out in natural accommodation with a narrow pupil using a target with a shift of 40 degrees from the opposite side of the eye under study at a distance of 33 cm. With medically switched off accommodation, the study is carried out after removing the contact lens and without a target with a shift of 40 degrees from the opposite side of the eye under study.

EFFECT: method provides obtaining accurate and objective data on the functional state of the ciliary muscle with natural accommodation and artificially switched off accommodation in children with amblyopia due to the claimed research methodology.
