FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. Method is applicable in cases of keratectasia of various genesis in the absence of cicatrisation and turbidity in the zone of ectasia, as well as in stromal opacifications in the middle and deep stroma layers. For the anterior deep layer-by-layer keratoplasty, the stromal bed of the recipient is prepared, the prepared graft is placed into the graft with subsequent fixation of the graft into the bed with sutures. Stromal bed is formed with transepithelial ablation of corneal stroma with diameter of 7.5–8 mm by means of excimer laser with wave length 193 nm to residual thickness of recipient's cornea of 30–40 mcm, wherein ablation zone is centered along optical axis of eye or in center of pupil.
EFFECT: method reduces the risk of the Descemet's membrane perforation, reduces the complications associated with the absence of air introduction into the corneal stromal tissue and increases predictability of the residual stromal tissue thickness.
