Device for decoding video comprises means for accessing a video picture, which includes multiple pictures combined into a single picture; apparatus for accessing information which is part of a received video stream, wherein the accessed information indicates how the multiple pictures in the video picture (to which access is combined) are combined, and includes spatial interleaving information and sampling information, wherein spatial interleaving information indicates spatial interleaving applied to multiple pictures when forming a single picture, and wherein sampling information indicates one or more parameters associated with the upsampling filter for restoring each of the multiple pictures to a different resolution, wherein one or more parameters related to the upsampling filter include indication of the filtration direction; and apparatus for decoding a video picture to provide a decoded representation of at least one of multiple pictures.
