SUBSTANCE: device for decoding encoded video images comprises: an input for receiving an encoded video bitstream; and a processor which: determines from the received bitstream a single image, wherein one image includes a first image of a first type of video signal with multiple views and a second image of a second type of video signal with multiple views; accesses information to determine how said first image and said second image are combined into a mosaic, wherein said accessed information indicates that said first image and said second image are adjacent, and at least one of said first image and said second image is individually mirrored in horizontal direction; and decodes said one image into said first image and said second image.
EFFECT: accessing a video image which includes a plurality of images combined into a single image.
