FIELD: video technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for encoding and decoding video. Access is provided to the video image, which includes many images combined into one image. The set of images includes the first image of the first type of video with multiple views and the second image of the second type of video with multiple views. The content of the first image overlaps the content of the second image, while the video image is part of the received video stream. Information is accessed indicating how multiple images are combined in a video image that is accessed. The mentioned information indicates that at least one of the many images is individually mirrored in one or more of the horizontal direction or vertical direction. The mentioned information is contained in at least one of the part header, a set of sequence parameters, a set of image parameters, a block header of the network abstraction level and a message with additional extension information.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of video encoding.
