FIELD: video encoding and decoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a means for encoding and decoding video. Video images of multiple kinds of video signal are received. Multiple images are combined into one video image, the plurality of images including a first image of a first kind of video signal with multiple views and a second image of a second kind of video signal with multiple views. A signaling section is generated indicating how said plurality of images is combined. The generated information indicates that the first image is located above the second image and that at least one of said first image and said second image is individually mirrored. One video image is encoded to provide an encoded representation of the combined plurality of images. Said signaling section and said encoded representation are combined as output.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of video encoding.
