SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Device for decoding encoded video images comprises an input for receiving an encoded video bitstream containing encoded video images; and processor, wherein processor: determines from received bitstream one image in rectangular frame, wherein one image includes first image and second image, combined into mosaic with each other; accesses information to determine how the first image and the second image are combined into a mosaic with each other using two or more mosaics, wherein said accessed information indicates that the second image is divided into two or more parts so that it can be located in the rectangular frame together with the first image; and decodes said one image into first image and second image.
EFFECT: technical result consists in realization of access to video image, which includes multiple images combined into one image.
