FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making reinforcing fillers of composite materials for aerospace engineering, thermal equipment, sports and medical products. Monolayer of the high-modulus carbon fibrous material is irradiated with the help of a wide-aperture polyatomic beam of helium light ions with average ion energy of not more than 3 keV from ion source of class of accelerators with anode layer (AAC) with beam section of not less than 100 cm2, current density of at least 2 mA/cm2 at temperature higher than 150 °C. Monolayer of high-modulus carbon fibrous material is obtained by laying on width on plane until formation of single-layer tape with thickness equal to diameter of irradiated fibers. Obtained single-layer tape of the high-modulus carbon material is irradiated at continuous transfer of the tape in vacuum without switching-off of the ion source, at that irradiation of the tape is carried out from both sides.

EFFECT: technical result is change of surface topography of fibers of high-modulus carbon material in form of rid-shaped corrugations and increased specific surface area.
