SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed are a composition of a medium for culturing Clostridium botulinum and a method of producing botulinum toxin. Composition contains 0.1–10 wt/vol% peptone of plant origin, carbon source, 0.05–3.5 wt/vol% mineral substance, 0.22–15.5 wt/vol% hydrolyzate casein. A botulinum toxin preparation method involves culturing Clostridium botulinum using the said medium composition.
EFFECT: invention increases output of the end product.
