FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of building tyres. Technical result is achieved by a method of assembling tires in which carcass sleeve element (11) is carried, comprising carcass ply (3) and a pair of annular retaining structural elements (5), to shaping drum (14) comprising flange elements (16a, 16b), each of which is configured to interact with one of annular retaining structural elements (5). Said carcass sleeve element 11 is shaped to toroidal configuration by fitting flange elements 16a, 16b to each other in axial direction. Prior to shaping, annular gripping elements (36), respectively retained by flange elements (16a, 16b), are expanded in radial direction, wherein each of them is expanded inside one of annular retaining structural elements (5) for their interaction with frame hose element (11). Annular retaining structural elements (5) are moved in axial direction from each other before input of circular gripping elements (36) into interaction with frame sleeve element (11). Axial movement of annular retaining structural elements (5) from each other comprises placing support element (37) in a predetermined position at the side of each annular retaining structural element (5), internal in the axial direction, axial movement of support elements (35), respectively introduced with each annular retaining structural element (5). At that arrangement of support elements (37) includes insertion of support elements (37) in axial direction into carcass sleeve element (11) due to axial translational movement of support elements (37) at their approach to each other from external side to space inside annular retaining structural elements (5).

EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of product and recurrence of technological process, as well as reduced defects of products and defective products.
