FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to expanding shaping drum and method of tires assembling for vehicle wheels. Forming drum comprises sectors following each other in circumferential direction, which are made with possibility of radial movement between contracted state and expanded state. Sectors are displaced in radial direction from geometrical axis (X-X) to form radially external support surface. Each sector has opposite in the direction along circumference connecting parts, each of which contains peripheral protrusions, alternating with peripheral cavities. Projections of each sector are introduced with possibility of sliding into corresponding cavities of sectors adjacent in direction along circumference. At least one of the projections extends at least one support wing having a first side and a second side, which are respectively opposite. Also described is a method for assembling tires, in which said drum is used.
EFFECT: invention provides considerable improvement of product quality due to optimization of individual components of the tire for its assembly.
