FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in cast-iron taphole of shaft furnace. Device comprises a concrete wall with an armor and recess, in which a taphole brick with a metal drain hole is fixed, made in end with lead-in part and having a lead-in part along perimeter recess for fixation in steel grip-frame, on front part of which flanging is made. Taphole bricks are made from mullite-corundum printed mass MMK-88 with weight ratio of AL₂O₃ not less than 88 %, open porosity of not more than 16 % and softening start temperature of not lower than 1,550 °C, at that, steel grip-frame is made cast from steel 25L with two welded steel handles for installation into furnace cavity and for extraction from recess with worn out taphole brick, and on mentioned flanging there are two slots coinciding with two pins welded to furnace armature, on which steel grip-frame with fixed in it taphole brick, is fixed by means of two nuts and two spring washers in furnace cavity with provision of fixation and retention of taphole brick from pressure molten metal, at that L-like partition wall is arranged in the middle part of mentioned grip-frame. In its center there is a window for melted metal drainage, and in the end there is a support. At that steel drain sock is welded to mentioned partition and support.

EFFECT: invention increases service life of taphole brick and reduces time of its replacement in case of its wear.
