SUBSTANCE: invention relates to exothermic reactions and more specifically to hydrotreating, hydrodesulphurisation, hydrodenitrogenation, hydrocracking, hydrogenation, hydrodeoxygenation or hydrodearomatisation reactions performed in a fixed bed reactor, more specifically relates to a mixing device and distribution of fluids in a reactor with a parallel downward flow and to its use for exothermic reactions. Device for mixing and distribution of fluids for catalytic reactor with downflow includes storage area, mixing zone and distribution zone comprising a distribution tray comprising at least one first area carrying a plurality of tubes, and a second zone; said mixing zone is contained in annular shell located in distribution zone, said mixing zone and distribution zone are limited by at least one annular wall containing, at least one section of transverse channels suitable for passage of fluids from said mixing zone into the first zone of said distribution zone, and the second zone comprises a plurality of openings suitable for partial passage of fluids from the distribution zone.

EFFECT: invention provides a mixing device and a distribution device for fluids, which occupy a small space when placed in a catalytic reactor, and provide good efficiency for mixing fluids, good temperature uniformity and good distribution.
