FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pneumatic machines and is intended to reduce noise emission of compressed air into atmosphere. Silencer comprises housing with inlet, inside of which are successively installed elements of noise suppression, in which equivalent passage sections increase in direction of gas flow, ensuring absence of critical flow mode on each element of silencer. Each noise suppressing element consists of a fine mesh net, a perforated disc and an attachment element. Fine mesh net is tightly laid on the perforated disc on the side of the flow inlet and fixed to it by means of a fastening element. Noise suppressing elements are installed in the housing in series through the separating rings and pressed with a cover with outlet holes. Thickness of separating rings and size of holes in perforated disc are equal to thickness of perforated disks. Number of holes in perforated disks increases along the flow direction.
EFFECT: using invention provides expansion of silencer application range by input parameters of working gas (input pressures, flowrates, working gas temperatures to low, cryogenic ones), reduced dimensions, providing stable noise-suppression characteristics during mass production, simplifying the design, excluding resonant (noise-enhancing) operating modes in a wide frequency range, elimination of influence of temperature deformations and destructions of granules or housing after operation in throttling mode, especially in zone of cryogenic temperatures.
