FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pneumatic machines and is intended for reducing noise of compressed air emission into atmosphere. Pneumatic silencer comprises housing with inlet, which is hermetically connected to one or more successive elements of noise reduction. Noise reduction elements are made from porous metal. Noise reduction elements are made from nonwoven elastic wire material MR in the form of flat parts and are serially installed inside the housing. Noise reduction elements tightly adjoin each other and are pressed with cover with one or several outlets, total equivalent flow section of which exceeds cross-section of inlet hole.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise reduction, easier manufacture of a pneumatic silencer, wider range of operating pressures of gas flows.
