FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intermediate detonators designed to initiate industrial explosives in open-pit mining in wells to excite charges of low-sensitive explosives. An intermediate detonator for use in dry wells comprises a polymer shell made of polyethylene terephthalate closed with a screw cap, in the cavity of which an explosive composition is placed, consisting of a mixture of pyroxylin grained gunpowder filled with an aqueous solution of ammonium and sodium nitrate, a detonating cord with an explosive charge of 12 g/linear meter. One part of the detonating cord is located on the side surface of the shell in the form of six turns, wound around the circumference close to one another, and the other part stretched along the shell is brought out in the area of the cap. The polymer shell in the form of a PET bottle with a screw cap and with coils of detonating cord on the outside is hermetically sealed with a shrink sleeve film.
EFFECT: increased safety in blasting conditions by simplifying the design.
