FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical manipulators intended for operation in isolated chambers with radioactive, toxic and aggressive substances. Ball point 2 of manipulator is arranged in driving 1. Pipe 4 is mounted in ball bearing support. Said rod accommodates movable rod 5 with gripper 6 at one end and inner shell 7 at the other end. End of movable rod 5 with inner shell 7 is placed in sealed thin-wall shell 8, on which outer casing 13 is installed. Both races are equipped with rollers 12 and 17 with axes perpendicular to axis of movable rod 5. Rollers 12 and 17 are grouped so that contact lines of rollers in one cartridge with side surface of thin-wall shell 8 are arranged between contact lines of rollers, other cartridge, as a result side walls of shell 8 form waves enveloping rollers 12 and 17. During longitudinal movement of outer shell 13 these waves move along thin-wall shell 8, displacing inner shell 7.
EFFECT: invention widens the service area.
