FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special metallurgy and can be used to produce high-quality vanadium-based alloys containing not more than 10 wt. % of titanium and chromium in ratio of 0.8–1.2. As initial charge materials there used are powders of vanadium, titanium and chromium with purity of 99.5 % with particle size of not more than 1 mm, powders are mixed in ratio V:Ti:Cr equal to (90–92):(4–5):(4–5), obtained mixture is molded by pressing into cylindrical samples with diameter of 25 mm, height of 10 mm, in steel mold at pressure of 200 MPa, with porosity of molded composite 10–20 %, and performing step-by-step heat treatment in vacuum with residual pressure of 10-3–10-5 Pa, including initial heating of pressed samples to temperature of 1,000 °C at rate of 500 °C per hour, further to temperature of 1,650 °C at rate of 300–400 °C per hour and exposure at temperature of 1650 °C for 0.5–2 hours.
EFFECT: invention reduces loss of alloy by 1,5 times due to exclusion of liquation processes during heat treatment, as well as achieving output of non-defective material at level of 95–99 %.
