METHOD FOR ELIMINATING SOFT TISSUE FAILURE AROUND AN INSTALLED IMPLANT ON THE UPPER JAW Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61C8/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical dentistry, and can be used for elimination of soft tissue failure around the installed implant on upper jaw. After the soft tissues are cut along the alveolar crest to the periosteum, leaving two or three mm beyond the specified implant, two flaps – palatine and vestibular – are formed. Graft sampling site is selected on an internal surface of the palatine flap. Incision is not performed for the whole length of the graft flap, and the feeding pedicle is left in the projection of the installed implant, thereby forming a transplant on the pedicle. Graft free flap is peeled, unfolded and placed above the implant cavity. Stellate through incision is made in this region of the graft free flap. Thereafter, the cylindrical screw of the gingival shaper is passed through the stellate through incision and fixed to the implant, pressing the healing abutment base by the graft free flap. Then the wound is closed.

EFFECT: method enables accelerating the processes of vascularisation of the connective-tissue graft, reducing the length of its survival, as well as reducing the probability of graft necrotization by forming two grafts – palatine and vestibular – forming a graft on a pedicle, forming a stellate through incision.
