FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental monitoring and concerns a method for remote monitoring of degree of contamination of underlying surface with aerosols of persistent toxic chemicals. Method involves probing an infected surface with radiation at frequency 2.45 GHz, recording characteristic spectra of aerosol particles deposited on the surface in range of 7–14 mcm and mathematical processing of detected infrared spectra. Mathematical processing is carried out by correlation analysis for identification of aerosol particles of toxic substances based on spectral data with subsequent calculation of infection density parameters by intensity of spectral bands characteristic for identified substances. Irradiation of the infected surface is carried out using an antenna with a narrow beam pattern, as a result of which induced infrared radiation deposited on the analyzed surface of aerosol particles. Spectra of induced radiation are recorded using a Fourier spectroradiometer.
EFFECT: technical result consists in ruling out the negative effect of overlaying parasitic spectra on analyzed spectra.
