FIELD: measurement technology; ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental control and a method for determining the possibility of using a spectroradiometer for environmental monitoring of the atmosphere. In carrying out the method, a testing track is chosen, at one end of which there is a video recording equipment and a spectroradiometer. On the other end of the track there is a black test object, located against the sky. Periodically it is made sure that its contrast against the sky is close to 1. Extra fixation of the image is carried out after an emergency ejection, when an emission cloud hits the field of view of the video equipment and the spectroradiometer. Problem of light propagation in a gas-aerosol environment and the problem of identifying a gas impurity on the basis of recording the infrared spectrum are solved. Critical value of the contrast in the visible range of the test object is measured, in which it is impossible to recognize the infrared spectrum of the gaseous substance, contrast value of the test object during the passage of the gas-aerosol cloud is compared to the critical contrast value and it is concluded that the spectroradiometer can operate when there is a toxic chemical in the air.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of obtained data.
