FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and specifically to a method of making an energy storage device and can be used in forming an energy storage device comprising thin-film elements with solid electrolyte. Method of manufacturing energy storage device (1) includes: forming a packet containing at least first electrode layer (6), layer (12) of first current collector, electrolyte layer (8) located between first electrode layer (6) and layer (12) of first current collector, formation in packet of first slot (24) passing through first electrode layer (6) and electrolyte layer (8) and stripping edge of first electrode layer (6) and electrolyte layer (8), and filling at least part of first slot (24) with electrically insulating material covering exposed edges of first electrode layer (6) and electrolyte layer (8). Proposed method comprises cutting insulation material and first current collector layer (12) along at least part of first slot (24) to expose edge of current collector layer (12).
EFFECT: preventing passivation of layers and occurrence of short circuit on each element is technical result of invention; in addition, safety of the method of manufacturing and subsequent treatment of a stack with a large amount of accumulated energy is increased.
