FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an oxidatively curable coating composition with which a composition is brought into contact for use in order to catalytically cure oxidatively curable coating compositions, in particular, oxidatively curable coating compositions, which include an oxidatively cured resin on an alkyd base. Compositions described in the invention include a chelating agent based on triazacyclononane, a manganese (II) or (III) salt, and an alcohol and/or ketone, wherein said alcohol and/or ketone usually act as solvent for salt and chelating agent. Invention also relates to the preparation of oxidatively curable coating compositions according to the present invention, such coating compositions after hardening and to methods which include depositing such coating compositions onto a substrate.
EFFECT: technical result is efficient curing of oxidatively curable coating compositions with addition of required amount of manganese salt / chelating agent mixture to paints or other oxidatively cured coating compositions.
