FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for controlling charging from a generator with reduced fuel consumption. In the disclosed methods and system in the case of increase in the vehicle battery level (VBL) with the threshold exceeding VBL, the charging from the generator is reduced depending on one or more of such parameters, such as ignition timing, engine rpm, air-fuel ratio and engine load.
EFFECT: possibility of reducing fuel consumption while maintaining the VBL to support operation of the front-end equipment and fuel consumption reduction under conditions of vehicle energetic driving can be achieved, for example, at high engine loads near transmission reduction thresholds and at high engine rpm.
