FIELD: agriculture; machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agricultural machine building, in particular, to the tillage tools working bodies manufacturing. Method for thermal strengthening of a blade of a tillage tool from high-strength cast iron VCh70 includes heating of the surface of the back side of the blade of the tiller with an electric arc of reverse polarity using an electrode, movement of said electrode along curvilinear trajectory formed by linear movement parallel to sharp edge of blade of tillage tool and rotation around vertical axis. Said heating of blade back side surface is performed by tungsten electrode connected to DC source. Rotation of electrode around vertical axis is carried out along curvilinear trajectory with diameter equal to blade width, wherein in one revolution of the electrode about its axis, its linear movement is 3 mm with a blade thickness of at least 6 mm, and electrode rotation frequency ω around its axis defined by relationship ω=23k min-1, wherein k = 1.5 with blade width of 2.0≤δ≤4.0 cm, or k = 1.0 with blade width 4.1≤δ≤6.0 cm, or k = 0.8 with blade width 6.1≤δ≤8.0 cm.

EFFECT: higher wear resistance and operational characteristics of cutting blades of tillage tools.
