FIELD: medicine; cardiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to cardiology, and is intended to identify a high risk of myocardial infarction in men aged 40-60 years in the European population for timely correction. The patient is examined with the establishment of a number of functional indicators and the risk of myocardial infarction is assessed using a mathematical formula. At the same time, the patient's cardiovascular and ankle vascular index (CAVI) and augmentation index (AI) are determined as functional indicators using volumetric sphygmography. The risk assessment of myocardial infarction (p) is determined by the original calculation formula. If the p value is equal to or more than 0.5, the probability of a high risk of myocardial infarction is predicted for a patient belonging to the group of men aged 40-60 years in the European population.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict effectively and quickly the possible risk of myocardial infarction in men aged 40-60 years in the European population by using objective indicators.
