FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and, in particular, to dentistry and is intended for use in treating patients with periodontium diseases complicated by hyperfunctioning masseter muscles. Dental splint is made by an additive method from polymethylmethacrylate and all available teeth of the upper or lower dental arch are fixed on the oral surface. Tire has thickness of 3 mm and is located 2 mm above the marginal gum, covering the equator and chewing surface of molars, premolars and cutting edges of the incisors and canines. Occlusal surface of the tire has an antagonist tooth imprint, in the absence of teeth in the dentition, the tire structure can contain artificial facets of the teeth, wherein the thickness of the tire lying on the occlusal surface of the dentitions, and the location of denture antagonist teeth is determined by a dentist according to individual patient characteristics, based on a difference in height of the lower face with a central ratio of jaws and central occlusion.

EFFECT: use of the tire allows immobilizing the patient's movable teeth and positioning the lower jaw in the position specified by the dentist.
