FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: cooling device (1) for cooling fluid medium by means of water of surface layers, containing at least one pipe (8) for content and movement of fluid medium inside, wherein outer part of pipe (8) during operation is at least partially submerged into water of surface layers for cooling pipe (8) for cooling by means of this fluid. Cooling device (1) further comprises at least one radiation source (9) for generating radiation, which suppressing fouling on submerged outer part, wherein radiation source (9) has such dimensions and is located relative to pipe (8) so as to distribute anti-fouling radiation to outer part of pipe.
EFFECT: due to this design alternative and effective protection against fouling of cooling device (1) can be provided.
