FIELD: thermal engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermal engineering; it can be used in fluid medium cooling devices. Cooling device (1) for cooling fluid medium with water of surface layers contains at least one pipe (8) for containing and moving fluid medium inside itself, wherein the outer part of pipe (8) during operation is at least partially immersed in water of surface layers for cooling pipe (8) for cooling fluid medium by means of it. Cooling device (1) additionally contains at least one radiation source (9) for the formation of radiation that suppresses fouling on the submerged outer part, wherein radiation source (9) has such dimensions and is located relatively to pipe (8) so that to distribute the anti-fouling radiation to the outer part of the pipe.
EFFECT: thanks to this design, an alternative and effective protection against fouling of cooling device (1) can be provided.
