SUBSTANCE: anti-fouling means for a unit with wet compartment (100) having at least one inlet (104) for water to enter wet compartment (100), functional unit (2) located in wet compartment (100), dry area (200), which is inaccessible to water and which is located outside wet compartment (100), barrier (110) located between dry area (200) and wet compartment (100), wherein the anti-fouling agent comprises at least one energy source (20) which is arranged and configured to emit energy to prevent biofouling of at least one surface (17, 106) present in wet compartment (100), including outer surface (17) of functional unit (2), wherein power source (20) is located in dry area (200), and between dry area (200) and wet compartment (100) there is optical path (112) so that energy emitted by power source (20) during its operation, could reach wet compartment (100) through barrier (110).
EFFECT: disclosed is a fouling protection device for an assembly with a wet compartment and a vessel comprising such a means.
