SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. According to some embodiments, a head and an applicator assembly for brachytherapy are disclosed. Assembly may include two ovoid tubes configured to receive radiation sources, wherein the two ovoid tubes are combined to form a rounded applicator having a medial opening and comprising a plurality of needle openings for guiding the interstitial needles. Assembly may also include a central applicator tube configured to receive a source of radioactive radiation located in the middle hole. Besides, the assembly may include a vaginal cap comprising a connection with two ovoid tubes that does not require use of the instrument, and also contains needle guides aligned with the needle holes of two ovoid tubes. Assembly may comprise a solid template for fixation of interstitial needles.

EFFECT: assembly can additionally include a connector requiring no use of a device for attachment of two ovoid tubes to the central applicator tube.
