FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assessment of in vitro virulence of strains of tularemia microbe of subspecies Francisella tularensis subsp. tularensis, subsp. mediasiatica, subsp. holartica. Method involves testing the analyzed culture for the presence of bacterial LPS with the help of an indicator and a substrate, which is represented by specific antibodies of the immunochromatographic "IC-test" to LPS of the analyzed sample, which is introduced in amount of 0.1 ml into a dough with preliminary preparation of the bacterial suspension according to the industry turbidity standard and subsequent boiling at 100 °C for 30 minutes, results are recorded after 15 minutes visually by the presence of lines in the strip if two lines (one control, and the second test one) are identified, then it is concluded that the sample contains a virulent strain of one of the tuleaemia subspecies, and if one line (control) is observed, then the strain is referred to as avirulent.
EFFECT: what is presented is a method for assessing virulence in vitro of tularemic microbial strains of subspecies: francisella tularensis subspecies tularensis, subspecies mediasiatica, subspecies holartica.
