FIELD: radar ranging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used in designing various systems for detecting and identifying a variety of dynamic objects experiencing periodic oscillations (vibrations) or rotation due to the presence of internal low-frequency resonances. A large number of probing targets of radio signals are used, the spectra of which form, near different carrier frequencies, a sequence of radiation bands with arbitrarily selected frequency intervals. Amplitude-frequency distributions of modulation spectra of reflected signals, which are recorded at the output of the corresponding frequency converters, are summed up. Resulting sum is subjected to autocorrelation processing in frequency domain. Criterion of target detection is appearance of explicitly expressed peak of obtained autocorrelation function, amplitude of which increases as power function of number of emitters.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in probability of detection and accuracy of object identification – vibrating or containing mechanisms, experiencing any return motions – with insignificant value of effective scattering area (ESA) on background noise at limited value radar emitted power and final sensitivity of receivers.
