SUBSTANCE: means for determining the state of occupancy of the controlled track section of the railroad switch on the hump yards. The railroad switch status control sensor consists of a SHF transmit-receive module (SHF TRM) with frequency modulation, the first high-frequency port of which is connected to an antenna, within the radiation pattern of which a radar reflector is installed, the second output signal SHF TRM through a series-connected filter and the first amplifier is connected to the first signal port of the digital signal processor (DSP), the second port of which is connected to the third output of the SHF TRM frequency control through a serial connection of the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and the second amplifier, while the third port of the DSP is connected via an interface of the RS-485 type with the automatic switching system (ASS), moreover, the antenna made with a flat fan pattern, which in the horizontal plane at the height of the car automatic coupler is described by the function cosec2θ within the angles θl<0<θ2, where θ1 and θ2 are the angles measured from the axis of the main railroad switch, reduced to the position of the RLS, to the far corner of the border of the control zone on the side where the RLS is located and to the opposite corner of the near border of the control zone, respectively.

EFFECT: increased reliability and confidence of control of the railroad switch state.
