FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to means of exothermic heating of a human body. Exothermic heater for a human body comprises a main body of an exothermic heater which generates heat through an oxidation reaction and in which a flat-shaped exothermic element containing an oxidising metal, an electrolyte, carbon component and water is coated with the first coating sheet and the second coating sheet, wherein the first coating sheet is a sheet which is air-permeable and substantially does not limit the oxidation reaction, the water-retaining material is positioned such that it is, at least partially in contact with the exothermic element, and the exothermic heater satisfies conditions when (A) difference between the internal temperature of the exothermic element and the maximum surface temperature of the main body of the exothermic heater is from 10 °C or less, (B) maximum skin temperature obtained when the exothermic heater is placed on human skin is from 38 °C to 42 °C, and (C) ratio of amount (mg/cm2⋅10 min) steam produced during 10 minutes after beginning of oxidation reaction to mass (g/cm2) of the exothermic element takes a value in range of 50 to 250. According to the second embodiment, the exothermic heater contains an exothermic element, which contains oxidised metal, electrolyte, carbon component and water and generates heat by means of oxidation reaction, and a water-absorbing polymer which is at least partially in contact with the exothermic element, wherein the exothermic element and the water-absorbent polymer are located between the first cover sheet, which is air-permeable and does not suppress the oxidation reaction, and a second coating sheet, wherein the first coating sheet has air permeability from 0 s/(100 ml⋅6.42 cm2) to 1500 s/(100 ml⋅6.42 cm2), and resistance to hydrostatic pressure from 1500 mm of water or more, wherein, before the oxidation reaction, the exothermic element has a water content of 9 wt. % to 25 wt. % and an electrolyte concentration of 1 wt. % or more. Method of making an exothermic heater for a human body comprises a step for forming an exothermic element, which is carried out by performing a step of adding an electrolyte in solid state to one surface of a sheet and a coating material application step, which contains an oxidising metal, a carbon component and water, but not the electrolyte, in said order or in reverse order, or by simultaneously performing said two steps, and before or after the exothermic element forming step, or between the two exothermic element formation steps, or simultaneously with the exothermic element manufacturing step, step of feeding water holding material to exothermic element, forming side of sheet surface, on which exothermal element is formed, wherein the amount of water in the exothermic element ranges from 9 wt. % to 25 wt. %, a step of coating each outer surface of the sheet with a sheet which serves as a coating sheet.
EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to perform wide and uniform warming of a human body irrespective of degree of contact between human body and exothermic heater.
