SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a wound dressing composition for use as a wound dressing or composition, as well as to methods for preparing a wound dressing composition. Wound dressing composition comprises a first layer of absorbent material, a second layer of superabsorbent polymer in form of powder or granules and a third layer of superabsorbent material in the form of fibers. Second layer is located between the first layer and the third layer. Absorbent material is a physiologically acceptable material capable of absorbing the fluid in an amount of more than approximately 500 % with respect to the weight of the absorbent material and holding the fluid in an amount of more than about 40 %. Superabsorbent material is configured to absorb the fluid in an amount of more than about 2000 % with respect to the weight of the superabsorbent material, and retaining the fluid in an amount of more than about 85 %.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a fixing material, by its action capable of maintaining a bond between the absorbent material and binding material when the wound dressing composition is wet.
